Dear Story Salon storytellers and audience:
We are beyond excited to welcome all of you to Story Salon at Art Parlor for weekly storytelling events!

It may look a little differently from before Covid-19 but all of these precautions and new systems are in place to help provide a safe environment and to ensure we are not encouraging the spread of Covid-19 at our events.
At this time all audience members and story tellers when NOT on stage are encouraged to wear a mask indoors. Additionally we are requiring vaccination confirmation or a negative Covid-19 test taken within 48 hours of the event.
In an effort ensure we stay under our 50 person building capacity limit we are now using Eventbrite's ticketing platform. You can follow our Eventbrite page to get notified of new shows.
We are very excited to announce that we will now be able to take credit cards at the door!
We now use an electronic system through Eventbrite to check in people at the door which will also allow us to take cash and card payments at the door.
We have been using Eventbrite since 2020 to help us provide a way to pre-sell tickets, and track audience numbers during the Covid-19 pandemic. The service also offers a way for us to share the message of Story Salon with more people in the greater Los Angeles community and now will help us provide more options for Story Salon audience and storytellers at the door! As this is a new process for everyone, your cooperation and patience while we work through any hiccups in implementing this at the door would be greatly appreciated.
FAQs:
Will Story Salon still presale tickets?
Yes! We want to make sure that patrons who know they are coming or are concerned about tickets selling out can plan ahead!
What do you mean tickets will sell out? If I don't get a presale ticket will I not be able to come in?
We have a capacity limit of 45 people including storytellers to make sure we are under the buildings capacity and being mindful of people's health during the Covid pandemic. Any tickets not sold before that weeks Story Salon will be available for purchase at the front door.
Unfortunately if we are sold out we will be unable to admit any additional people so we do suggest purchasing in advance or getting to Story Salon early.
When do ticket sales end?
Ticket sales will end at 8:00pm the evening of the event. Story Salon starts at 7:30 so ticket sales will be available the first 30 minutes after Story Salon begins. If you have already purchased a ticket you will be able to check in whenever you arrive.
How do I check in?
Please see Deb at the front after you enter the Art Parlor and give her the name the tickets are under. After a couple of clicks on her end, you will be checked in and ready for the show!
How does paying at the door change?
Cash payments - This may take an extra couple of seconds as we will be now entering all cash sales through our ticketing service so we ca accurately track attendance, sales and capacity. Cash prices will continue to be $10.
Card payments - We will hand key in your card information into the ticketing service, this is similar to ordering online, after determining how many tickets you need, there will be a few more clicks and you'll be ready to enjoy the show! If you need a receipt, we can provide you with an electronic copy via email. There will be a merchant processing fee that all card sales require in addition to the $10 ticket price.
